Car
If you're traveling by car, take the A9 highway towards Nuremberg. Exit at the junction for A73 towards Bamberg. Continue on A73 and take the exit towards Ebermannstadt/Wiesenttal. Follow the signs to Wiesenttal and then to the Schönsteinhöhle. There is a parking area near the cave entrance, but be sure to check for any parking fees which may apply.
Public Transportation
To reach Schönsteinhöhle by public transport, take a train to Ebermannstadt from Nuremberg or Bamberg. From Ebermannstadt, catch the bus (Line 220) towards Wiesenttal. Get off at the stop 'Schönsteinhöhle'. The bus schedule may vary, so be sure to check the local transport times in advance. A single fare for the bus could cost around €3-4.
Walking
If you're already in Wiesenttal, you can take a scenic walk to Schönsteinhöhle. From the center of Wiesenttal, head south on Hauptstraße. Follow the trail signs towards the cave, which is approximately a 30-minute walk (about 2 km). The path is well-marked and offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.
