If you are in the southern part of Sachsenhausen, head towards the river Main. From the southern banks, follow the path along the river in the direction of the city center. After about a 10-15 minute walk, you will reach the Museumsufer area. Look for the distinctive museum buildings on your left as you approach the Brückenstraße.

Find the nearest tram stop, such as 'Schweizer Platz' or 'Willy-Brandt-Platz'. Board tram line 12 or 15 heading towards 'Ginnheim' or 'Leipzigstraße' respectively. Get off at the 'Städel' stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk. Head towards the river, and you will see the Museumsufer along Brückenstraße.
