Walking
From the center of Westend, head towards Bockenheimer Landstraße and walk east. Continue straight for about 10-15 minutes until you reach the Alte Oper (Old Opera House). From there, turn south onto Opernplatz, and continue walking until you reach the banks of the River Main. The Iron Footbridge (Eiserner Steg) will be directly ahead across the river.

Public Transport - Tram
Locate the nearest tram stop, either at Bockenheimer Warte or Westendstraße. Take tram line 16 or 17 towards the direction of 'Schweizer Platz'. After a short ride, get off at 'Schweizer Platz' stop. From here, walk towards the river, following signs for the Main. The Iron Footbridge (Eiserner Steg) is just a few minutes' walk from the tram stop.

Find the nearest subway station, which could be Westend or Bockenheimer Warte. Take the U6 or U7 subway line towards 'Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof'. Get off at 'Hauptwache' station. From there, follow the signs to the exit for the River Main. The Iron Footbridge (Eiserner Steg) will be a short walk away, heading in the direction of the river.
