From Freiburg city center, walk to the nearest tram station, which is 'Freiburg, Rathaus'. Take Tram Line 1 towards 'Littenweiler'. Ride for about 15 minutes and get off at 'Freiburg, Hauptbahnhof' (main train station). Once at the station, transfer to the regional train heading to Basel. It takes about 45 minutes to reach Basel SBB station.
