If you are starting from Freiburg's main train station (Freiburg Hauptbahnhof), exit the station and head south on Bismarckallee. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Kaiser-Joseph-Straße. Turn left onto Kaiser-Joseph-Straße and walk through the pedestrian zone. This area is filled with shops and cafes, making for a pleasant stroll. Continue until you reach the large square at the end of Kaiser-Joseph-Straße, known as the Rathausplatz.
