From Europaplatz, a central transport hub, walk east along Kaiser-Joseph-Straße, the main pedestrian street. Continue onto Karlstraße, crossing the Karlssteg footbridge directly into the Stadtgarten. The walk is approximately 500m and takes about 5-10 minutes. Alternatively, from the Freiburg Central Station, walk east along Eisenbahnstraße, then turn left onto Friedrichring. Cross the Leopoldring at the designated pedestrian crossing, and the Stadtgarten entrance will be directly ahead. This walk is approximately 1.2km and takes about 15-20 minutes.

From Freiburg Central Station (Hauptbahnhof), take tram line 1 towards Littenweiler or tram line 3 towards Vauban. Get off at the 'Stadttheater' stop, which is located directly on Leopoldring, adjacent to the Stadtgarten. A single ticket within Zone A (Freiburg city area) costs €2.20.
