Culinary Delights at Heiliggeist Stüble am Münster
Award-winning specialty coffee and French pastries in Freiburg's most enchanting urban park.
Café Marcel is a specialty coffee destination nestled in Freiburg's verdant Stadtgarten, housed in a converted kiosk at the base of the Schlossbergbahn cable car station. Owners Aurore Ceretta, a former world coffee tasting vice-champion, and Philip Weller, Germany's 2024 roasting champion, craft exceptional espresso and filter coffees from their own Günter Coffee Roasters. The café pairs artisanal beverages with authentic French croissants, seasonal sandwiches, and rotating housemade pastries, all prepared with premium, locally-sourced ingredients. Open year-round with outdoor seating featuring deckchairs and blankets, it offers a serene park setting ideal for coffee enthusiasts and casual visitors alike.
