If you are in the heart of Altstadt, start at the historic Rathaus (City Hall). From there, head south on Rathausstraße until you reach the intersection with Mönckebergstraße. Turn right onto Mönckebergstraße and walk straight until you see the Hammonia fountain on your left. Continue straight and take the first left onto Bleichenbrücke, which will lead you directly to Bleichensteg. It should take about 10-15 minutes on foot.
Public Transport
For those who prefer public transport, you can take the U-Bahn (subway). Begin at the Rathaus U-Bahn station (U2 line). Travel one stop to the Gänsemarkt station. From Gänsemarkt, exit the station and head southwest on Gänsemarkt towards Neuen Wall. Continue onto Bleichenbrücke, and you will reach Bleichensteg in approximately 5 minutes. The ticket price for a single trip is around €3.40.
