Getting There

  • Public Transport - U-Bahn

    If you're starting from Hamburg Central Station (Hauptbahnhof), take the U-Bahn (subway) line U1 towards Ohlstedt. Get off at the 'Jungfernstieg' station, which is about a 6-minute ride. Upon exiting the station, follow the signs to Jungfernstieg, which leads you to the waterfront. Once you're at Jungfernstieg, walk along the Alster lake and you will soon see the entrance to Colonnaden on your left.

    If you're near the Hamburg Rathaus (City Hall), which is a popular tourist spot, you can walk to Colonnaden. From the Rathaus, head east towards the Alsterarkaden, and continue walking straight until you reach the Alster lake. Turn left and walk along the waterfront for about 5 minutes; Colonnaden will be on your right, just past the entrance to the Alsterarkaden.
