Public Transport
From Hamburg Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take the U3 subway line (yellow line) to Baumwall station. The Niederbaumbrücke is a short, approximately 5-minute walk from the station. Exit the station and follow the signs towards the Speicherstadt. Cross the street “Baumwall”, walk along the “Niederbaumbrücke” which leads to “Am Sandtorkai”. A single ride ticket within Hamburg (rings A & B) costs approximately €3.60.
Walking
If you are already in the HafenCity or Speicherstadt area, the Niederbaumbrücke is easily accessible on foot. From the Elbphilharmonie, walk along Am Kaiserkai towards the Speicherstadt. The bridge will be on your left, connecting the HafenCity to the city center. From Landungsbrücken, walk east along the waterfront towards Baumwall; you'll see the bridge connecting to the Speicherstadt. No costs involved.
Taxi/Ride-Share
A taxi or ride-share from Hamburg Hauptbahnhof to the Niederbaumbrücke will take approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. The estimated fare is between €15-€25. Ask the driver to take you to Niederbaumbrücke near the Hanseatic Trade Center.
Driving
If driving, follow signs towards HafenCity/Speicherstadt. Parking is available in the Elbphilharmonie parking garage (Am Kaiserkai) or the Conti-Park garage (Am Sandtorkai 6). Pre-booking at Elbphilharmonie Car Park is possible for a fixed rate of 20.00 Euro (plus 4.50 Euro service fee) for 4 hours. Parking at Conti-Park is metered. From the west you will cross over the Landungsbrücken, passing Baumwall, Niederbaumbrücke, Am Sandtorkai, and Am Kaiserkai. Coming from east you will pass Deichtorplatz, Brooktorkai, Am Sandtorkai instead before finally reaching Am Kaiserkai. Clear signage will guide you the way to reach the Elbphilharmonie.
