Public Transport
If you are starting from the Hanover Central Station (Hauptbahnhof), take the U-Bahn line 4 towards Garbsen. Board the train at platform 5 or 6 and ride it for about 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Herrenhausen' station. Once you exit the station, walk straight down Herrenhäuser Allee for approximately 10 minutes until you reach the Golden Gate attraction.
Walking
If you are near the city center, you can walk to the Golden Gate. Start at the Marktkirche (Market Church) and head northwest towards the Wishing Well (Wishing Fountain). Continue straight for about 1 km until you reach the Herrenhäuser Allee. Turn left and walk for about 15 minutes until you arrive at the Golden Gate.
Bus
From the Kröpcke (Central square), take the bus number 100 or 200 towards 'Herrenhäuser Gärten'. The ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Herrenhäuser Gärten' stop. From there, it is a short 5-minute walk to the Golden Gate. Just follow the signs towards the gardens.
