Michaelstein Abbey is accessible by bus from the Blankenburg (Harz) train station. Take bus routes 230 or 250, operated by HVB transport company, to the "Michaelstein, Blankenburg (Harz)" stop. The bus stop is a few hundred meters from the abbey. Buses run twice an hour on weekdays and once an hour on weekends until approximately 9:45 p.m. A single bus fare within Blankenburg (Harz) is approximately €2-3. Note that holders of a Kurtaxenheft (spa tax book) may travel free of charge on the HATIX system.

If driving, follow the B27, B81, or A36 (formerly B6) to the "Blankenburg/Zentrum" exit. From there, follow the signs to Michaelstein Abbey. Car and coach parking are available outside the abbey grounds. Parking fees may apply, but are typically minimal. Check local signage for current rates.
