If you are traveling by car, enter the following address into your GPS: Blankenburger Str. 36, 38889 Oberharz am Brocken. From the central Harz area, take B242 towards Rübeland, then follow the signs for Baumannshöhle. There is ample parking available at the site for a fee, typically around €2. The caves are located just a short walk from the parking area.

To reach Baumannshöhle using public transportation, take a train to the nearest major station, which is in Wernigerode. From Wernigerode, you can catch a bus (Bus 261 or 263) to Rübeland. Once you arrive at the Rübeland bus stop, it’s about a 15-minute walk to the caves. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance as they can vary, and have some coins ready for the bus fare, which is approximately €3-€5.
