From the Braunlage town center, the Oberer Bodewasserfall is approximately a 1-kilometer walk north. Follow the signs towards the Warme Bode river and the National Park. The path is well-marked and mostly flat, following the river upstream. The walk takes around 20-30 minutes. The path leads past the Unterer Bodewasserfall before reaching the Oberer Bodewasserfall. There are no entrance fees or tolls to access the waterfall.
