Train
From Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take a train towards Karlsruhe. The train journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof, exit the station and follow the signs to the tram station located just outside the train station.
Tram
At Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof tram station, take Tram Line 2 towards 'Rheinstetten' or Tram Line 1 towards 'Gartenstadt'. Get off at the 'Kaiserstraße' stop (about 4 stops from the train station). After exiting the tram, walk straight along Kaiserstraße until you reach the 'Am Stadtgarten' street.
Walking
Once you are on 'Am Stadtgarten', follow the road towards the right for about 5 minutes. The Japangarten will be on your left side, near the entrance to the Stadtgarten park. Look for the distinctive Japanese-style structures and gardens as you approach.
