If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Hunsrück. Head southeast on the B327 towards Boppard. Continue on B327 for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the junction with L206. Take the exit onto L206 towards Sauerthal. Follow L206 for about 7 kilometers until you arrive at the village of Sauerthal. Once in Sauerthal, look for signs to Schloss Sauerburg, which is located at the address 65391 Sauerthal.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take the train from your nearest station in Hunsrück to the nearest major town, such as Boppard. From Boppard, you can take a regional bus (Bus number 666) towards Sauerthal. The bus will drop you off at the local bus stop in Sauerthal. From there, it is a short 1-kilometer walk to Schloss Sauerburg. Follow the signs or use a mobile map app to navigate to the castle located at 65391 Sauerthal.
Walking from Sauerthal
If you find yourself in the village of Sauerthal, Schloss Sauerburg is easily accessible on foot. From the village center, head northwest along the main road and follow the signs leading to the castle. The walk should take approximately 15 to 20 minutes, covering about 1 kilometer.
