If you are in the city center of Koblenz, start at the main square (Marktplatz). Head towards the River Rhine and walk along the riverbank towards the south. You'll pass the famous Deutsches Eck where the Moselle River meets the Rhine. Continue walking along the river until you reach the 'Rheinpromenade'. From here, you can enjoy beautiful views of the fortress across the river.

Once you reach the Rhine promenade, look for the Koblenz cable car station (Seilbahn Koblenz) located near the Deutsches Eck. Take the cable car that will take you directly across the Rhine River to the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. The ride offers stunning views and takes about 5 minutes. Upon arrival, follow the signs to the fortress entrance.

Public Transport (Bus)
Alternatively, if you prefer to take a bus, from the main square (Marktplatz) head to the nearest bus stop and take bus line 6 or 7 towards 'Ehrenbreitstein'. The bus will take you closer to the fortress, and you will need to get off at the 'Ehrenbreitstein' stop. From there, follow the signs leading to the fortress which is a short walk uphill.

If you arrive at the Ehrenbreitstein train station, exit the station and walk towards the fortress. Follow the signs that guide you uphill towards the fortress entrance, which is approximately a 15-minute walk. The path is well-marked and offers a pleasant stroll through the surrounding area.
