Train
From Koblenz Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take the regional train (RE or RB) towards Cochem or Treis-Karden. Make sure to check the schedule for train times. You will need to get off at the Moselkern station, which is approximately a 30-minute ride. Once you arrive at Moselkern, exit the train station.

Hiking
After exiting the Moselkern station, follow the signs for Burg Eltz. The hike to Eltz Castle takes about 1 hour and covers approximately 5 kilometers through beautiful forested areas. The path is well-marked, and you will enjoy scenic views along the way. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes. Follow the signs that say 'Burg Eltz' as you navigate through the trails.

Alternatively, from Koblenz Hauptbahnhof, you can take bus line 300 towards Cochem. Get off at the stop 'Wierschem, Burg Eltz'. This bus ride takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Wierschem, the castle is a short 15-minute walk uphill from the bus stop. Follow the signs directing you to Burg Eltz.
