Travel Guide to Münzplatz

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Koblenz train station (Koblenz Hauptbahnhof), exit the station and head south towards the Moselle River. Walk along the riverfront promenade, enjoying the view of the river. Continue on this path for about 15 minutes until you reach the Deutsches Eck (German Corner), where the Moselle meets the Rhine. From the Deutsches Eck, turn left and walk along the Rhine promenade until you reach the intersection with the B9 road. Turn right onto the B9 and walk until you see the signs directing you to Münzplatz. Follow the signs, and after a short walk, you will arrive at Münzplatz, a charming town square surrounded by historic buildings.

• Public Transport

  From the Koblenz Hauptbahnhof, take bus number 1, 3, or 6 from the bus stop located just outside the station. The journey takes approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Münzplatz' bus stop. Once you exit the bus, you will find yourself directly at Münzplatz. Take a moment to enjoy the area, which is known for its beautiful architecture and vibrant atmosphere.

• Walking

  If you're at the Fortress Ehrenbreitstein, take the cable car down to the city. Once you reach the bottom, walk towards the river, and then follow the path along the Moselle River. Head in the direction of the Deutsches Eck, and from there, continue walking along the Rhine promenade. After about 20 minutes, you'll reach the intersection with the B9 road. Turn right towards Münzplatz and follow the signs until you arrive at the square. This route offers beautiful views of the rivers and city.
