Travel Guide to Joseph-Görres-Denkmal

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Koblenz main train station (Koblenz Hbf), exit the station and head towards the south exit. Once outside, turn left onto Kaiserstraße. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the junction with Am Schwanenhaus. Turn right onto Am Schwanenhaus and walk towards the river Moselle. At the end of the street, you will find yourself at the Moselle promenade. From here, turn left and walk along the promenade for about 1 kilometer. You will pass by several cafes and the beautiful views of the river. Continue walking until you reach the entrance of the Kaiserin-Augusta-Anlagen park. Enter the park and walk straight for about 300 meters. The Joseph-Görres-Denkmal will be located on your right-hand side within the park.

• Public Transport

  From the Koblenz main train station (Koblenz Hbf), take bus line 1, 2, or 8 from the bus stop directly outside the station. You can board any of these buses heading towards 'Löhr-Center' or 'Koblenz Stadtmitte'. Get off at the bus stop 'Kaiserin-Augusta-Anlagen'. Once you exit the bus, walk straight into the park (Kaiserin-Augusta-Anlagen). The Joseph-Görres-Denkmal is located within the park, just a short walk ahead on your right.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to cycle, rent a bike from one of the many rental stations near the Koblenz main train station. Head south on Kaiserstraße, then turn right onto Am Schwanenhaus. Continue towards the Moselle promenade and cycle along the river. After about 1 kilometer, you will reach the entrance to Kaiserin-Augusta-Anlagen park. Park your bike at the designated area and walk 300 meters into the park to find the Joseph-Görres-Denkmal on your right.
