Getting There

    If you are in the city center, board Tram Line 9 at the stop 'Leipzig, Hauptbahnhof' (Main Station). Make sure you are heading towards 'Leipzig, Taucha'. Stay on the tram for about 5 stops, approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Leipzig, Deutscher Platz'. From there, walk approximately 200 meters north on Deutscher Platz, and you will see the Deutsches Buch- und Schriftmuseum on your left at Deutscher Pl. 1.

  • Bus

    From 'Leipzig, Hauptbahnhof', take Bus Line 89 towards 'Leipzig, Dölzig'. It takes about 10 minutes and you will have to get off at the stop 'Leipzig, Deutscher Platz'. After disembarking, walk about 150 meters southeast, and you will arrive at the Deutsches Buch- und Schriftmuseum located at Deutscher Pl. 1.

    If you are near the Nikolaikirche (St. Nicholas Church), you can walk to the museum. Head southwest on Nikolaikirchhof towards Thomasgasse. Continue straight onto Grimmaische Str. which becomes Karl-Liebknecht-Straße. After about 1 kilometer, turn right onto Deutscher Platz. The museum is located at Deutscher Pl. 1, which is just a short walk from your path.
