If you are starting from the Leipzig Hauptbahnhof (the main train station), exit the station and head towards the northwest exit. When you reach the street, turn left onto Wilhelm-Leuschner-Straße. Continue walking straight for about 600 meters until you reach the intersection with Petersstraße. Turn right onto Petersstraße and continue for another 300 meters. You will arrive at the Naschmarkt, where the Statue of Goethe is located at Alte Börse, Naschmarkt 1.
