The Majestic Burgkloster Monasterio del Castillo: A Gem of Lübeck

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Lübeck Train Station (Lübeck Hauptbahnhof), exit the station and head southeast on Vor dem Burgtor towards Mühlenstraße. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Mühlenstraße, then turn left. Follow Mühlenstraße until you reach the Burgtor (the Burgtor Gate). From there, you will see the Burgkloster Monasterio del Castillo just a short walk away at Burgtorbrücke 1. The total distance is approximately 1 km and should take about 15-20 minutes.

• Public Transport

  From the Lübeck Train Station (Lübeck Hauptbahnhof), take bus number 1, 4, or 6 from the bus stop located right outside the station. Get off at the stop 'Burgtor', which is the closest stop to Burgkloster Monasterio del Castillo. The journey takes about 10 minutes. Once you get off, walk a short distance to Burgtorbrücke 1, where the monastery is located.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops near the Lübeck Train Station. Head southeast on Vor dem Burgtor, then turn left onto Mühlenstraße. Continue straight until you reach Burgtor. The cycling distance is approximately 1 km and should take around 5-10 minutes, depending on your pace.
