If you are starting from Lübeck's main train station (Lübeck Hauptbahnhof), exit the station and head southeast toward Willy-Brandt-Allee. Continue straight for about 400 meters until you reach the intersection with Mönkhofer Weg. Turn left onto Mönkhofer Weg and continue walking for about 600 meters. You will pass by the beautiful Lübeck historical buildings on your right. Continue straight until you reach the Trave River. Once you arrive at the river, you will see the Wassertreppe Lübeck just a short walk along the riverbank on your right. The scenic view will lead you directly to the attraction.

From the Lübeck Hauptbahnhof, take bus line 6 toward 'Kücknitz'. Get off at the 'Fischergrube' stop, which is approximately a 10-minute ride. Once you exit the bus, walk straight along Fischergrube for about 300 meters until you reach the Trave River. Turn right and walk along the riverbank for about 200 meters.
