If you are driving, head towards Wismar following the A20 motorway. Take the Wismar exit (Exit 15) and follow signs towards the city center. As you enter Wismar, follow the signs for 'Hafen' or 'Harbor'. Wassertor is located at Am Hafen 1, 23966 Wismar, directly by the harbor. There are parking facilities nearby, but expect to pay around €1.50 per hour.
Public Transportation
To reach Wassertor by public transport, take a train to Wismar from various cities in Mecklenburg, such as Schwerin or Rostock. Wismar's train station is well-connected. Upon arrival, exit the train station and take Bus Line 1 towards 'Hafen'. Get off at the 'Hafen' stop, which is a short walk to Wassertor at Am Hafen 1, 23966 Wismar. A single bus ticket costs approximately €2.00.
Walking
If you are already in the city center of Wismar, you can easily walk to Wassertor. From the Market Square (Marktplatz), head towards the harbor. Follow the signs pointing to 'Hafen', and you will reach Wassertor in about 10-15 minutes on foot. The walk is scenic and offers views of the historical architecture of Wismar.
