Getting There

Train
From Munich, head to the main train station (Hauptbahnhof). You can take the S2 or S8 trains heading towards Dachau. Make sure to check the train schedules for departure times. The journey takes approximately 25 minutes. Once you arrive at Dachau station, exit the station and follow the signs for the bus stop. You will need to catch bus number 726 towards 'Dachau, Schloss'. The bus ride takes about 10 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Dachau, Schloss' which is right in front of Dachau Palace.

Alternatively, you can take bus number 52 from the Munich central bus station (ZOB) to Dachau. This bus runs less frequently, so check the schedule beforehand. The ride will take around 40 minutes. Once you reach the Dachau bus station, switch to bus number 726 towards 'Dachau, Schloss'. This will take you directly to the palace in about 10 minutes.
