Public Transport - Tram
To reach Gasteig from the city center, locate the nearest tram stop. If you are near the Marienplatz, walk to the 'Sendlinger Tor' tram station. From there, take tram line 25 towards 'Schäfflerhof'. After 5 stops, get off at 'Rosenheimer Platz'. Upon exiting the tram, walk east on Rosenheimer Str. for about 5 minutes. Gasteig will be on your left at Rosenheimer Str. 5.
Public Transport - U-Bahn
If you are close to the Hauptbahnhof (main train station), go to the 'Hauptbahnhof' U-Bahn station. Take U-Bahn line U2 towards 'Erzhaldenstraße' and get off at 'Rosenheimer Platz' after 2 stops. Exit the station and walk for about 5 minutes along Rosenheimer Str. towards the east. Gasteig will be on your left at Rosenheimer Str. 5.
Walking
If you are already in the Au-Haidhausen area, you can simply walk to Gasteig. From the nearest landmark, such as the 'Deutsches Museum', head northeast on Zweibrückenstraße, which turns into Rosenheimer Str. Continue straight for about 15 minutes, and you will see Gasteig on your right at Rosenheimer Str. 5.
