U-Bahn
To reach the Munich Residence, start by finding the nearest U-Bahn station. If you're in the city center, you can take the U2 line from 'Sendlinger Tor' station towards 'Dachau Bahnhof'. Get off at 'Karlsplatz (Stachus)' station. From there, transfer to the U5 line towards 'Neuperlach Süd'. Get off at 'München Odeonsplatz'. Once you exit the station, walk east on Ludwigstraße, and then turn left onto Residenzstraße. The Munich Residence will be on your right at Residenzstraße 1.
Tram
If you prefer to take the tram, locate the nearest tram stop, such as 'Karlsplatz (Stachus)'. Take tram line 19 towards 'St. Emmeram'. Get off at 'Odeonsplatz'. From the tram stop, walk east along Ludwigstraße, and take a left onto Residenzstraße. The Munich Residence will be located at Residenzstraße 1 on your right.
Bus
To get to the Munich Residence by bus, find the nearest bus stop, like 'Karlsplatz (Stachus)'. Board bus line 62 towards 'München, Am Schillings fürsten'. Get off at 'Odeonsplatz'. After exiting the bus, head east on Ludwigstraße and turn left onto Residenzstraße. You will find the Munich Residence at Residenzstraße 1.
Walking
If you're in the Altstadt-Lehel area, you can easily walk to the Munich Residence. From Marienplatz, head north on Weinstraße until you reach the Odeonsplatz. From there, walk east along Ludwigstraße and turn left onto Residenzstraße. The Munich Residence is located at Residenzstraße 1, just a short walk away.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike-sharing stations around Munich. Head towards the city center and follow the bike paths to Odeonsplatz. Once at Odeonsplatz, cycle east along Ludwigstraße and turn left onto Residenzstraße. The Munich Residence will be at Residenzstraße 1. Make sure to park your bike at the designated bike racks near the entrance.
