Getting There

  • Tram

    From the central station (Hauptbahnhof), take Tram Line 17 towards 'Sendlinger Tor'. After 5 stops, get off at 'Karlsplatz (Stachus)'. Transfer to Tram Line 20 or 21 towards 'München, Petuelring' or 'München, Fröttmaning'. Get off after 4 stops at 'Pinakotheken'. The Neue Pinakothek is a short walk from the tram stop. Head north on Barer Str. for about 200 meters, and you will see the museum on your right.

  • U-Bahn (Subway)

    From 'Hauptbahnhof', take the U-Bahn Line U2 towards 'Messestadt Nord'. Change at 'Sendlinger Tor' to the U-Bahn Line U5 towards 'Neuperlach Süd'. Get off at 'München Odeonsplatz' (3 stops). From there, exit the station and walk north along Ludwigstraße for about 400 meters, then turn right onto Barer Str. The Neue Pinakothek will be on your left.

  • Bus

    From 'Hauptbahnhof', take Bus 58 towards 'Klinikum Großhadern'. Get off at the stop 'Pinakotheken'. Walk back for a few meters to Barer Str. and head right; the Neue Pinakothek will be on your left after a short walk.

  • Walking

    If you are near the city center, you can reach the Neue Pinakothek on foot. From Marienplatz, head northwest along Weinstraße for about 1 km. Continue straight onto Ludwigstraße, then turn right onto Barer Str. The museum will be on your left after approximately 300 meters.
