    If you are in Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt, begin at Sendlinger Tor, a central public transportation hub. From here, head northeast on Sendlinger Str. towards the Altstadt-Lehel district. Continue straight as Sendlinger Str. becomes Neuhauser Str. after a few blocks. Karlstor will be on your right, just past the intersection with Schützenstraße. The walk should take approximately 15-20 minutes.

  • Public Transport - U-Bahn

    To reach Karlstor using public transport, find the nearest U-Bahn station, which could be Sendlinger Tor or Karlsplatz (Stachus). From Sendlinger Tor, take the U2 or U7 towards Sendling or Neuperlach Süd. Get off at the next stop, which is Karlsplatz (Stachus). Exit the station and walk north towards Neuhauser Str.
