Walking
If you are in Schwabing, a pleasant walk to Königsplatz is about 20 to 30 minutes. Start at the northern end of Leopoldstraße, which is the main street in Schwabing. Head south towards the city center, passing by the beautiful trees and cafes along the way. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Widenmayerstraße. Turn left onto Widenmayerstraße and continue until you reach the famous Siegestor (Victory Gate). From Siegestor, follow the road down towards Ludwigstraße, where you will see the University of Munich. Continue walking straight until you see the large square ahead, which is Königsplatz. Enjoy the Greek-style architecture as you approach.
Public Transport
To reach Königsplatz using public transport, you can take the U-Bahn (subway). From Schwabing, head towards the nearest U-Bahn station, which could be 'München Universität' or 'Giselastraße'. Board the U2 line (the blue line) towards Erding. After two stops, get off at 'Königsplatz' station. Upon exiting the station, you will be directly at Königsplatz. The ticket price is approximately €2.90 for a single journey, and tickets can be purchased from machines at the station.
Biking
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from any of the public bike-sharing stations available in Schwabing. Cycle south towards the city center along Leopoldstraße, which has designated bike lanes. Follow the same route as described for walking, and it should take you around 10 to 15 minutes to reach Königsplatz. Make sure to park your bike at the designated bike parking areas near the square.
