Car
If you are traveling by car, you can easily reach Hohner See from various towns in North Frisia. Begin your journey in Husum, the nearest larger town. From Husum, take the B200 road towards Hohn. Continue on B200 for approximately 18 kilometers until you reach the junction with L12. Turn left onto L12 and follow the signs for Hohn. After about 3 kilometers, Hohner See will be on your right. There is ample parking available near the nature preserve. Note that parking may incur a small fee, usually around 2-3 euros.
Public Transportation
To reach Hohner See using public transportation, start by taking a train from your current location to Husum. Check the Deutsche Bahn website for the most accurate train schedules and fare information. Once you arrive in Husum, head to the bus station located near the train station. From there, take bus line 251 towards Hohn. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at the 'Hohn, Abzweig Hohner See' stop. From there, it is a short 10-minute walk to Hohner See. Ensure to check the bus schedule as it can vary, and you may need to wait for the next bus depending on the time of day.
