Public Transport
If you are near Nuremberg Central Station (Nürnberg Hauptbahnhof), take tram line 4 in the direction of 'Gostenhof'. Get off at the 'Bärenschanze' stop. From there, walk straight down the street (Bärenschanze) for about 5 minutes until you reach the Pegnitz River. Cross the river using the bridge on your right. After crossing, you will see the Henkersteg bridge directly ahead, located in a picturesque area.
Walking
If you are already in the Old Town (Altstadt), head towards the river Pegnitz. From the main square (Hauptmarkt), walk east along the street 'Bergstraße' until you reach the river. Once you arrive at the riverbank, turn left and follow the path along the river for approximately 10 minutes. You will soon see the Henkersteg bridge, which is located just before the 'Kunstbunker' museum.
Public Transport
From the 'Plärrer' subway station, take tram line 8 towards 'Mühlhof'. Get off at the 'Frauentorgraben' stop. Walk towards the river Pegnitz by heading south. Once you reach the river, turn left and follow the riverbank for about 7 minutes. The Henkersteg bridge will be visible on your right side.
Biking
If you have a bike, start from the city center and head towards the Pegnitz River. Follow the bike path along the river in the direction of the 'Hauptmarkt'. It’s a scenic route, and you will reach the Henkersteg bridge in about 10 minutes of biking, enjoying the view along the way.
