    If you are in the city center, start at the Hauptmarkt (Main Market Square). From the Hauptmarkt, head northwest on Fleischbrücke (the meat bridge) towards the medieval city walls. Continue past the beautiful St. Lorenz Church on your right. After about 10 minutes, you will reach the castle hill. Follow the signs leading to 'Kaiserburg' (Imperial Castle). You will ascend a series of steps; the castle entrance is located at Burg 17, 90403 Nürnberg.

    Take the U-Bahn (underground train) from any station in Nuremberg to 'Plärrer' station. From Plärrer, transfer to tram line 4 or 6 heading towards 'Thon' or 'Dürrenhofstraße'.
