Getting There

  • Public Transport

    Start your journey at Nuremberg Central Station (Nürnberg Hauptbahnhof). From the station, head to the U-Bahn (subway) lines located in the station. Take the U2 line towards Röthenbach. After three stops, get off at 'Plärrer' station. At Plärrer, transfer to the U1 line towards Langwasser Süd. Travel two stops and get off at 'Opernhaus' station. From the Opernhaus station, exit and walk straight towards the Opera House (Staatstheater Nürnberg) which will be on your left. Continue walking along Richard-Wagner-Platz, and then turn left onto Ob. Schmiedgasse. The Historischer Kunstbunker will be on your right at Ob. Schmiedgasse 52.

  • Walking

    If you are already in the city center (for example, at Hauptmarkt), walk towards the Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady). From there, head towards Burgstraße and continue straight until you reach the junction with Ob. Schmiedgasse. Turn right onto Ob. Schmiedgasse and walk for about 5 minutes. The Historischer Kunstbunker will be on your left at Ob. Schmiedgasse 52.

  • Tram

    You can take tram line 9 from the Nuremberg Central Station (Nürnberg Hauptbahnhof) heading towards 'Falkenheim'. Get off at 'Plärrer' stop. From Plärrer, transfer to tram line 4 towards 'Bärenschanze' and get off at 'Opernhaus' stop. Once you disembark, walk towards Richard-Wagner-Platz and then take a left onto Ob. Schmiedgasse. The Historischer Kunstbunker will be on your right at Ob. Schmiedgasse 52.
