Public Transport
If you're starting from Nuremberg Central Station (Nürnberg Hauptbahnhof), exit the station and head to the U-Bahn (subway) station located below. Take U-Bahn line U1 towards 'Langwasser Süd' and get off at 'Opera' station. From Opera, follow the signs to the exit on 'Bärenschanzstraße'. Once you are outside, walk straight along Bärenschanzstraße until you reach the intersection with 'Hauptmarkt'. You'll see the lovely square ahead.
Walking
If you are in the Altstadt (Old Town), such as near the Kaiserburg (Imperial Castle), head down 'Burgstraße' towards 'Hauptmarkt'. As you approach 'Hauptmarkt', you'll see the famous 'Frauenkirche' (Church of Our Lady) on your left. Continue straight and you will arrive at the main square known for its vibrant market and historical architecture.
Tram
From the 'Plärrer' tram stop, take tram number 4 towards 'Ziegelstein'. Get off at 'Hauptmarkt' stop, which is just a short walk from the square. As you exit the tram, head straight to 'Hauptmarkt', where you can enjoy the local market and its sights.
Bus
If you are near 'Plärrer', take bus number 36 towards 'Wöhrder Wiese'. Get off at 'Hauptmarkt' stop. From there, you will find the main square just a few steps away, surrounded by historical buildings and local shops.
