From Oberammergau, head northeast on Hauptstraße/B2 towards the roundabout. Take the second exit at the roundabout onto Kreislainenweg. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Ammergauer Alpen, which will be on your left. There is usually free parking available near the hiking areas.

Public Transportation
Start at the Oberammergau bus station. Take the bus line 962 towards Murnau. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the 'Kreislainenweg' stop. From there, it's a short walk of about 500 meters to reach the Ammergauer Alpen hiking area, following Kreislainenweg to the left. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time for return trips.
