Getting There

• Walking

  If you're already in the center of Oberammergau, you can easily walk to Skulptur-König Ludwig von Bayern. From the Town Hall, head northeast on Ammerstraße for about 200 meters. Turn right onto Tiroler Gasse and continue for another 300 meters. The sculpture is located at Tiroler G. 9, which will be on your right. The entire walk should take approximately 10 minutes.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike at one of the local rental shops. Start from the center of Oberammergau and head northeast along Ammerstraße. After about 200 meters, turn right onto Tiroler Gasse. Continue straight for about 300 meters until you reach Tiroler G. 9. The bike ride should take around 5 minutes, and parking is available nearby.

• Car

  If you are driving, set your GPS to Tiroler G. 9, 82487 Oberammergau. From the center, head northeast on Ammerstraße (B2) for about 200 meters, then turn right onto Tiroler Gasse. Continue straight, and you will find the sculpture on your right. Parking is available on the street, but be aware of any parking regulations to avoid fines.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, take the local bus service to Oberammergau. Once you arrive at the Oberammergau bus station, exit and walk northeast on Ammerstraße for about 200 meters. Then, turn right onto Tiroler Gasse and walk for another 300 meters. The sculpture is located at Tiroler G. 9. There may be a small fare for the bus, typically around €2-€3.
