Car
If you are driving from the Ore Mountains, take the A4 Autobahn towards Chemnitz. Exit at 'Chemnitz-West' and merge onto B173 towards Niederwiesa. Follow B173 until you see signs for Schlossallee. The castle is located at Schlossallee, 09577 Niederwiesa. There is ample parking available nearby, but note that parking fees may apply.
Public Transportation
To reach Park and Castle Lichtenwalde by public transport, take a regional train (S-Bahn or RE) to Chemnitz main station. From there, transfer to bus line 224 towards Lichtenwalde. Get off at the 'Lichtenwalde Schloss' stop, which is a short walk to the entrance of the park and castle. Be sure to check the bus schedules as they may vary, and a ticket for the bus will cost around €2.50.
Walking
If you are already in Lichtenwalde village, you can easily walk to the castle. From the center of Lichtenwalde, head towards Schlossallee, which will take you directly to the entrance of Park and Castle Lichtenwalde. The walk is approximately 15 minutes and is well-signposted.
