If you are traveling by car, head towards Koblenz on the A48 or A61 highways. Follow signs for Koblenz and take the exit toward B9. Once you reach the city, follow signs for 'Ehrenbreitstein' or 'Festung Ehrenbreitstein'. You can park at the designated parking areas near the fortress. Note that parking may incur a fee, typically around €2-€5 depending on the time of day.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a train to Koblenz Hauptbahnhof (main station). From there, you can catch bus line 1 or 2 towards 'Ehrenbreitstein'. The journey takes about 15 minutes. Alternatively, you can take the Koblenz cable car from the city center directly to the fortress. The cable car ride offers breathtaking views of the Rhine and Moselle rivers and costs around €10 for a round trip.
Walking
If you are near the fortress, you can walk to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress from the city center. The walk is approximately 3 kilometers and takes around 45 minutes. Follow the riverside promenade along the Rhine, then take the path leading up towards the fortress. Be prepared for some steep inclines as you approach the fortress.
