Car
If you are driving, begin your journey from the center of Palatinate. Use the A65 highway and follow signs toward Heidelberg. Once you are on the A5, exit at the Heidelberg/Neuenheim exit. Continue on the B37, following signs for Heidelberg. Once you enter the city, follow the signs for the 'Philosophenweg' (Philosopher's Way). You can park at the nearby parking lot at the entrance to the path, which may incur a parking fee (around 1-2 euros per hour).
Public Transportation
To reach Philosophers' Way by public transportation, take a train from the nearest major station in Palatinate to Heidelberg. Look for trains going to Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof (main station). Upon arrival at Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof, transfer to tram line 5 towards 'Heidelberg Ziegelhausen' and get off at the 'Philosophenweg' stop. From there, it is a short walk to the entrance of Philosophers' Way. A single ticket for the tram costs around 2.50 euros.
Walking
If you are already in the city of Heidelberg, you can easily walk to Philosophers' Way. From the city center (Bismarckplatz), head towards the Philosophenweg, which is about a 15-20 minute walk. Follow the signs indicating 'Philosophenweg' and enjoy the beautiful views of the city along the way. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as the path can be steep in some areas.
