Public Transport
From Potsdam, head to the Potsdam Central Station (Potsdam Hauptbahnhof). You can take either tram line 91 or bus line 605 towards Berlin. Once at the central station, board a regional train (RE1) towards Berlin. The travel time is about 30 minutes. Get off at the station 'Alexanderplatz'. From Alexanderplatz, take the U-Bahn (subway) line U2 in the direction of 'Pankow'. After 5 stops, get off at 'Kreuzberg' station. Exit the station and follow signs towards 'Bergmannstraße' for a short walk into the lively area of Kreuzberg.
Walking
If you are near the city center of Potsdam, you can take a scenic walk to the ferry terminal at 'Potsdam Werft'. From there, take the ferry across the Havel River to 'Fährhaus'. Once you arrive, walk towards the bus stop and take bus line 601 towards 'Berlin S-Bahnhof Grunewald'. Get off at 'S-Bahnhof Grunewald', and transfer to the S-Bahn line S7 towards 'Ahrensfelde'. After four stops, disembark at 'Kottbusser Tor', which is within walking distance to Kreuzberg. Just follow the signs or use a map app to guide you to the heart of Kreuzberg.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike in Potsdam and head towards the 'Potsdam Hauptbahnhof'. From there, follow the bike path along the Havel River towards Berlin. Continue on the bike path that leads into the city, passing through various parks and green areas. Once you reach the border of Berlin, navigate towards the district of Kreuzberg. The total cycling distance is around 30 km and will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Make sure to check for bike-friendly routes using a map app.
