Public Transport
From Potsdam, head to the Potsdam Hauptbahnhof (main train station). Take the S7 train towards Ahrensfelde. After a short journey, disembark at the Berlin Zoologischer Garten station. Once you exit the train station, follow the signs to the bus terminal. Take bus number 200 towards Alexanderplatz and ride for approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Kulturforum' stop, which is right near the Gemäldegalerie. As you step off the bus, you will see the Gemäldegalerie just a short walk ahead.

Walking
If you prefer to walk, from the Potsdam city center, you can start at the Brandenburg Gate (Brandenburger Tor). Head southeast towards the Glienicker Bridge (Glienicker Brücke) and cross the bridge into Berlin. Continue straight until you reach the main road (B1). Turn left and walk towards the Kulturforum area, which is approximately a 30-minute walk. The Gemäldegalerie will be located at Matthäikirchplatz on your right.

Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental stations in Potsdam. Start your ride from the center of Potsdam and head towards the Glienicker Bridge (Glienicker Brücke). Cross the bridge into Berlin and continue straight. Follow the cycle path signs towards the Kulturforum. This route will take you through scenic areas and parks, and you will arrive at the Gemäldegalerie in roughly 20-25 minutes.
