To reach the DDR Watch Tower at Erna-Berger-Straße in Berlin from Potsdam, start by heading to the Potsdam Hauptbahnhof (main train station). From there, take the S-Bahn (S7) towards Berlin. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at the station 'Friedrichstraße'. Once you exit the station, follow the signs for 'U-Bahn' to transfer to the U6 line. Take the U6 towards Alt-Tegel and get off at 'Oranienburger Tor'. From the station, walk east on Oranienburger Straße for about 10 minutes until you reach Erna-Berger-Straße, where the DDR Watch Tower is located.

From Potsdam, you can also take Bus 695 from 'Potsdam, Hauptbahnhof' to 'S-Bahn Berlin - Griebnitzsee'. Transfer to the S7 train towards Berlin. Travel for about 30 minutes and get off at 'Friedrichstraße'. From there, walk to the U-Bahn station and take the U6 towards Alt-Tegel. Disembark at 'Oranienburger Tor'. Walk east on Oranienburger Straße for about 10 minutes to arrive at the DDR Watch Tower on Erna-Berger-Straße.

If you are feeling adventurous and want to walk, you can stroll along the scenic paths from the center of Potsdam to Berlin. This is a longer journey of about 1.5 hours, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes. Start at the Brandenburg Gate in Potsdam and follow the paths leading towards Berlin. You can walk along the Havel River and eventually connect to the main roads leading into Berlin. Once you reach Erna-Berger-Straße, you will find the DDR Watch Tower.
