From Potsdam, head to the main bus station, 'Potsdam Hauptbahnhof'. You can take the bus number 606 towards 'Berlin, S+U Alexanderplatz'. The journey will take approximately 40 minutes. Get off at the stop 'S+U Berlin Hauptbahnhof' and walk towards the river Spree. From there, walk along the river until you reach 'Schiffbauerdamm'.
Train
Make your way to 'Potsdam Hauptbahnhof' and take the S-Bahn line S7 towards 'Ahrensfelde'. This train will take you directly to 'Berlin Hauptbahnhof', which is the central train station in Berlin. Upon arrival, use the exit towards the Spree River and walk east along the riverbank for about 10 minutes to reach 'Schiffbauerdamm'.
Tram
Start at 'Potsdam, Platz der Einheit' tram stop. Take tram line 91 towards 'S+U Berlin, Alexanderplatz'. After about 30 minutes, transfer at 'S+U Berlin, Alexanderplatz' to the S-Bahn line S5 or S7 and travel to 'Berlin Hauptbahnhof'. From there, walk along the river Spree to reach 'Schiffbauerdamm'.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle in Potsdam and take the scenic route along the Havel River towards Berlin. Follow the bike trails towards 'S+U Berlin Hauptbahnhof'. Once you arrive at the central station, cycle east along the Spree River to reach 'Schiffbauerdamm'. The ride should take around 45 minutes.
Walking
If you are up for a long walk, start at the center of Potsdam and head towards the 'Glienicke Bridge'. Cross the bridge and follow the signs towards Berlin. Once you reach Berlin, continue walking towards the river Spree, then head east along the waterfront until you arrive at 'Schiffbauerdamm'. This walk will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
