Walking
If you are in Rostock city center, start at the Rostock City Hall (Rostocker Rathaus). From there, head east on Neuer Markt towards the intersection with Breite Straße. Continue straight onto Breite Straße until you reach the junction with Mönchstraße. Turn left onto Mönchstraße and walk until you reach the intersection with Lange Straße. Turn right onto Lange Straße, and after a short walk, you'll see signs for 'Östliche Altstadt'. Continue walking straight until you reach Ludewigbecken, which is located on your left. The area is picturesque and ideal for a leisurely stroll.
Public Transport (Bus)
From Rostock Central Station (Hauptbahnhof), take Bus Line 5 or 6 towards 'Dierkow' or 'Hochschule'. Get off at the stop 'Mönchstraße'. From there, walk east along Mönchstraße until you reach Lange Straße, then turn right. Continue straight, and you will find Ludewigbecken on your left in the Östliche Altstadt area. The bus ride will take about 10 minutes, and the walk from the bus stop is approximately 7 minutes.
Public Transport (Tram)
If you are near the Rostock Central Station, you can take Tram Line 1 towards 'Rostock-Warnemünde'. Get off at the stop 'Kringelstraße'. From there, head south on Kringelstraße, and then turn left onto Mönchstraße. Walk straight until you reach Lange Straße, then turn right. Continue walking until you see Ludewigbecken on your left. The tram ride will take around 15 minutes, and the walk from the tram stop is about 10 minutes.
