From Rostock city center, head to the nearest tram station, which is Rostock Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station). Take tram line 1 towards 'Rostock Stadtwerke' and travel for about 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Barnstorfer Ring' stop. Once you exit the tram, you will see Rostock Zoo directly in front of you, at Barnstorfer Ring 1.

If you prefer to take a bus, go to the nearest bus stop at Rostock Hauptbahnhof. Take bus line 27 towards 'Rostock Zoo' and ride for approximately 20 minutes. Disembark at the 'Zoo' stop, and you will find the entrance of Rostock Zoo just a short walk away at Barnstorfer Ring 1.

If you are staying close to the city center, you can reach Rostock Zoo by walking. From the central market square (Neuer Markt), head east on Breite Straße, which becomes Barnstorfer Strasse. Continue straight for about 1.5 km until you reach Barnstorfer Ring. The zoo will be on your left at Barnstorfer Ring 1. This walk should take approximately 20-25 minutes.
