Car
If you're driving from the city center of Ruhr, get on A40 highway heading towards Düsseldorf. Take the exit towards B1 and follow the signs for Düsseldorf. Continue on B1 until you reach the junction with B7. Merge onto B7 and follow it until you reach the city center. Look for signs for Burgplatz as you approach Düsseldorf's old town. There is parking available nearby, but be sure to check for any parking fees.
Public Transportation
To reach Burgplatz by public transport, take the S-Bahn (S1, S6, S8, or S11) from any station in Ruhr to Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof (main station). From there, take tram line U74, U75, U76, or U77 towards 'Düsseldorf, Heinrich-Heine-Allee' and get off at the 'Heinrich-Heine-Allee' stop. From the tram stop, it's about a 10-minute walk: head west towards the Rhine River, and follow the signs to Burgplatz, which is located near the riverfront and has beautiful views of the castle.
