If you're traveling by car, start by heading towards the A42 motorway. From the center of Ruhr, follow signs for A42 in the direction of Gelsenkirchen. After approximately 15 km, take exit 36-Herne-Baukau. Merge onto B225 towards Herne. Continue straight for about 5 km, and then take a right turn onto Mont-Cenis-Straße. Zeche Mont Cenis will be on your left, and there is parking available near the site.
Public Transportation
To reach Zeche Mont Cenis using public transportation, first, take the S-Bahn (S8 or S9) from any station in Ruhr to Herne station. Trains run frequently, and the journey should take around 30 minutes. Once at Herne station, exit and head to the bus stop outside the station. Take bus line 310 towards 'Herne, Mont-Cenis-Straße'. The journey takes about 10 minutes, and you should get off at the 'Mont-Cenis-Straße' stop. Zeche Mont Cenis is just a short walk from there.
