Head onto B172 and follow it for approximately 10 km towards the town of Hřensko. Once in Hřensko, follow the signs for the Czech Republic border and continue on the road until you reach Jetřichovice. The castle is located just outside Jetřichovice. There is a parking area available near the castle entrance, but be aware that parking may incur a small fee, typically around €2-€5 for the day.

    For those using public transportation, take a train from Dresden or another nearby city to Bad Schandau. From Bad Schandau, board a bus (Bus number 240) towards Jetřichovice. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at the Jetřichovice stop. From there, you can follow walking signs towards Šaunštejn Castle. The hike from the bus stop to the castle is about 3 km and may take around 45 minutes. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water as the path can be steep in sections.
